Benefits of Personal Tuition

Personal tuition sessions are available for both adults and children and are held at , Norwich.

They combine all the benefits of group classes with the following additional advantages:

Preparation

For those who wish to have tailored training prior to a grading or competition

Progression

For those who are currently attending classes but wish to accelerate their progress in an individually-tailored session

Convenience

For those who do not wish to attend classes, are unable to do so or need to catch up on training.

For those coming back to karate after a break, whether long or short-term

Our professional instructors are dedicated to teaching Traditional Shotokan Karate to the very highest standard. They are all fully insured, CRB Checked, first aid qualified and have many years experience of teching all ages and grades.

Jason Hitchings 5th Dan UKTKF

Jason Hitchings

Chief Instructor and founder of the Eastern Shotokan Karate Association, who has coached many national and international champions in both Kata and Kumite. He has also taught numerous adults and juniors from beginner right through to black belt and in some cases all the way to 4th Dan.

  • Member of the English and Great British Traditional Karate Squad since 2001
  • Previous Great British Champion and winner of numerous awards during his competition career

Certification: NVQ Karate Tuition, Diploma in Fitness Training & Gymnasium Management, RSA qualifications in fitness, First Aid qualified and holds a current CRB certificate.

Nathan Bond 3rd Dan UKTKF

Nathan started training in 1994, being one of ESKA's first students and has been teaching Shotokan Karate with ESKA since 1999. He began his professional career in karate in 2004 and is currently a Technical Instructor for ESKA.

  • Chief Coach for the ESKA competition squad.
  • Member of the English and Great British Traditional Karate Squad
  • Individual Kumite and team Kumite Bronze medal winner at the European Karate Championships in Slovenia 2007
  • Winner of five national titles and an international silver medal for Kumite
  • 2007 Norwich City Council Adult Achiever Sports award 2008

Certification: CSLA Sports Leadership Award, First Aid qualified, fully insured and holds a current CRB certificate.

Nathan Bond
Danny Jordan 2nd Dan UKTKF
Danny Jordan

Danny started training when he was ten years old and has been teaching Shotokan Karate with ESKA since 2003.

He began his professional career in karate tuition in 2006.

  • Winner of six national titles in Kata and Kumite and numerous silver and bronze medals
  • Member of the English and Great British Traditional Karate Squad

Certification: NVQ one and two coaching awards, First Aid qualified, fully insured and holds a current CRB certificate.

William Downes 2nd Dan UKTKF

William started training in 1996 at the age of seven and has been teaching with ESKA since 2003.

  • Junior national champion in individual Kumite 2003
  • Winner of gold and silver medals for team kumite as a cadet and won a regional mixed karate event in 2005
  • Currently trains with the England squad
  • Certification: first aid qualified, fully insured and holds a current CRB certificate.

    Guy Wellesley 2nd Dan UKTKF

    Guy Wellesley

    Guy started training karate in 1998 and has competed for ESKA for many years. He started teaching for ESKA in 2004 and became a senior instructor in 2008.

    • Winner of numerous medals at local and National competitions
    • Currently training with the England squad

    Personal Tuition Conditions

    1 Maximum of three students can train in one Personal tuition session.
    2 The lesson allocation (three standard lessons) will be divided equally between the participating students.
    3 You may cancel or rebook a session up to 24 hours before your booked time. All cancellations or changes to bookings after 24 hours will be charged at full price.
    4 Payment for Personal tuition sessions will be due at the time of the session and must be paid to the instructor. Payments can be made by cash or cheque, please make cheques payable to ESKA.
